I was in search of a free standing tub that had completely straight/square sides versus the many that are sold with curves and angles. I needed this to fit in a corner without leaving spaces between the tub and wall that would either trap water or dust. This was the the one squared tub that I found within my price range, with others being 2-3 times as much for some reason, so I bought it in the only version available at the time (glossy gray). It's here now, I've opened the box to take a look and it is really beautiful and substantial while also being a foot shorter in length than the alcove tub it's replacing (space that I was eager to gain in a small bathroom). I'm really excited to get it installed and will be putting in a fixed glass panel on the non-wall end and a pivoting glass panel door along the exposed side since it will get the most use as a shower. Absolutely unacceptable quality. The only reason why I didn’t return it’s because i built the bathroom with this item in mind. One side of the frame has to be built after moving tub in place because pump and blower frame sticks out a bit over the tub lips. Tub frame is cheap 1 by 1” tubing held in place with some cheap self tapping screws from hardware store, they didn’t even bother to use one kind of screws. When tested it, the pump switch didn’t work, had to buy another one. Spot welds what can i say, i can do e better job and I am not even a welder. This looks like was made in someone’s garage. Instruction manual looks like someone just typed it in Word and printed it on a home printer. Front cover is supposed to stay in place with 4 magnets, it slides down since magnets aren’t strong enough to keep the cover in place, at least could have used neodymium magnets How can you possibly sell such a product for $2600 and feel proud about your Family Owned Business of 30+ years. You can walk in, sit down, and take your time without rushing. The 53-inch size keeps it compact, so it fits well even in smaller bathrooms. At the same time, it still gives enough room to sit properly once you’re inside. The side door helps a lot here. You don’t have to lift your legs high or worry about balance. Just open, step in, and close it. Being a freestanding acrylic bathtub, it doesn’t feel too heavy during installation. The surface is smooth and doesn’t feel cold when you first step in. Once filled, it holds warmth well enough for a comfortable soak. There are 10 jets placed inside. They keep the water moving around your body in a steady way. It’s not too strong, but it does help your body feel a bit more relaxed. You can just sit there and let it run. There’s also a light inside. It’s not very bright, but you’ll notice it more in the evening. It gives a calm feel without being distracting. With a 94-gallon capacity, the water level feels right for soaking without feeling too shallow. The layout is simple, and everything is easy to understand. In the end, this bathtub is about ease. Beautiful, easy to install product that arrived undamaged, despite the long trek to Hawaii. Wayfair has AMAZING customer service, and they often deliver faster than their predicted arrival time. Unfortunately, at least for the moment, Wayfair does not seem to offer accessories for this product, which need to be ordered through the manufacturer, and the manufacturer sadly does not ship to Hawaii (requiring a shipping middleman --- do-able, but a royal pain, and an added expense).
