I purchased the LG LDTS5552S dishwasher and have experienced a persistent chemical odor since the beginning of ownership. The smell is difficult to describe precisely, but it resembles heated rubber, vinyl, petroleum products, or synthetic plastic. The odor becomes stronger as the dishwasher heats up and appears to be emitted from the lower vent area. The problem occurs even during normal operation without using the High Temp or Extra Dry settings. Over the past year I have tried numerous troubleshooting steps, including cleaning the filters repeatedly, running cycles without detergent, using dishwasher cleaning cycles, and removing additional plastic accessories from inside the machine. None of these actions resolved the issue. The dishes themselves do not retain the odor, but the heated air emitted by the dishwasher does. The smell is strong enough to travel beyond the kitchen and can sometimes be noticed on the second floor of the house. After more than a year of trying to live with this issue, I have stopped using the dishwasher altogether and returned to washing dishes by hand because I am not comfortable having my family continuously exposed to the odor. What concerns me most is that this odor appears whenever the appliance is heated, suggesting that materials inside the unit may be releasing volatile compounds into the air. I do not know whether LG has evaluated the long-term impact of breathing these emissions during routine daily use, but I believe this is a legitimate concern that deserves attention. I am disappointed because otherwise the dishwasher performs well. If LG is aware of this issue or has a solution, I would genuinely appreciate a response. My electricians installed 9 of these into our new house with Spitfire Fanimation fans so that we wouldn't need to mount remotes on our walls. I select this switch option because we do not have light kits with our fans. No issues with install but I find the the lowest setting on the switch is still really fast. It seems like there needed to be at least another one or two lower speed settings on these switches. Worked for 5 minutes then stopped working. Red lights come on when I press the buttons, and the fan and light still work with manual controls but the remote does nothing. And it’s pretty flimsy so maybe not surprising. Would like a refund!. Anonymous. QC. Wed Nov 11 2020

Easy to program and works great. This is a second rote for a fan light we have at the top of our stairs landing.
