We purchased this refrigerator in 2021 because we needed a specific size to fit inside our house. So far (2026) the refrigerator is working well. I appreciate that the shelves are easily adjustable and are easy to clean. The hidden door feature is probably my favorite part of the unit because it allows easy access to often-grabbed items like drinks and condiments. The ice maker and water option on the front is also great, and I like that I can set different temperature zones for the main fridge and for the drawer below it. The only two features that I find frustrating are the double icemaker. The Round ice balls in the freezer take up a lot of room that I would gladly have for storage instead. The ice balls are produced slowly and I feel pretentious offering them to guests. The other issue is that the shelves on the ice-maker side of the refrigerator door are so narrow that it's nearly impossible to house anything there.. Cabrown224. Mon Jun 22 2026

I purchased the LG LDTS5552S dishwasher and have experienced a persistent chemical odor since the beginning of ownership. The smell is difficult to describe precisely, but it resembles heated rubber, vinyl, petroleum products, or synthetic plastic. The odor becomes stronger as the dishwasher heats up and appears to be emitted from the lower vent area. The problem occurs even during normal operation without using the High Temp or Extra Dry settings. Over the past year I have tried numerous troubleshooting steps, including cleaning the filters repeatedly, running cycles without detergent, using dishwasher cleaning cycles, and removing additional plastic accessories from inside the machine. None of these actions resolved the issue. The dishes themselves do not retain the odor, but the heated air emitted by the dishwasher does. The smell is strong enough to travel beyond the kitchen and can sometimes be noticed on the second floor of the house. After more than a year of trying to live with this issue, I have stopped using the dishwasher altogether and returned to washing dishes by hand because I am not comfortable having my family continuously exposed to the odor. What concerns me most is that this odor appears whenever the appliance is heated, suggesting that materials inside the unit may be releasing volatile compounds into the air. I do not know whether LG has evaluated the long-term impact of breathing these emissions during routine daily use, but I believe this is a legitimate concern that deserves attention. I am disappointed because otherwise the dishwasher performs well. If LG is aware of this issue or has a solution, I would genuinely appreciate a response. I love the modern look and floating style. The instructions were subpar, omitting written language in favor of images, arrows, and numbers on the cabinet base instructions. I’m handy with tools and was able to modify a few things to make it work. Firstly, pieces 4-8 have an end with larger holes. These holes go against pieces 1 and 2. I wish the instructions had said that! Second, the hangers did not work in the ore-drilled hole location. I had to move them toward the front of the cabinet and loosen the hanger before screwing them to the cabinet. That was the only way to get the cabinet pulled in close to the wall. Third, I wanted the unit mounted to studs so I added a couple holes in the top strap where the studs were. I hate drywall anchors, especially the cheap ones included in the kit. If you’re going to use drywall anchors, you’re better off using the screw-in type or toggles. Lastly, FYI the drain pipe kit that comes with the sink is 1-1/4” flexible pipe.. Hallie. Raleigh, NC. I was in search of a free standing tub that had completely straight/square sides versus the many that are sold with curves and angles. I needed this to fit in a corner without leaving spaces between the tub and wall that would either trap water or dust. This was the the one squared tub that I found within my price range, with others being 2-3 times as much for some reason, so I bought it in the only version available at the time (glossy gray). It's here now, I've opened the box to take a look and it is really beautiful and substantial while also being a foot shorter in length than the alcove tub it's replacing (space that I was eager to gain in a small bathroom). I'm really excited to get it installed and will be putting in a fixed glass panel on the non-wall end and a pivoting glass panel door along the exposed side since it will get the most use as a shower. Nice little frig for all practical purposes. However the description is a little different from what the directions manual states. For example description says it can be slid under a counter top. Yet the directions say to leave 4 inches behind the unit for air flow. So it’s seems the unit would stick out from a typical counter depth. The instruction manual also talks about the need to defrost which was unexpected. We are keeping it anyway as will use to store a few waters and drinks in another room outside the kitchen. I brought them in and pulled them out of the box and was very surprised and pleased at the weight and quality of these brackets. We had spent a lot of money on a large under mount hand hammered copper metal sink and i was concerned about the weight of the sink being carried by just the cabinet. i found these online and took a shot at them. very stout piece of metal and nice construction. I just got my kitchen redone. Let me say that I am not a fan of stainless steel or single bowl sinks. I do not use a dishwasher. My kitchen is small and I didn’t use a dishwasher when I had one. I had first ordered a composite granite sink from a local company that was shipped here. After two sinks came chipped, I had had enough. So I ordered this sink. It’s heavy, it’s old school and deep and I like it so far. So, we’ll see how it works. It came with silicone washers, but it leaked, so the guy that did my kitchen had to use plumbers putty instead, because the sink was leaking. It also comes with sink grids and basket strainers..
