This is a great little vanity/desk, especially given the price point. It's a tad smaller than I expected, but that is perfectly fine as it will be in a smaller room. Shipping was quick and FedEx delivery was seamless. It took 2 of us about 6 hours to build, but we very much took our time. We are not professionals by any means, but we're OK with a screwdriver, and that's the only tool you'll need. A very well made one is included with the hardware. About an hour of our time was spent laying out all the pieces in a logical order (be sure you do this as it will save a lot of confusion and time seeking for the right part), and then cross-checking to ensure that we had everything we were supposed to have, which we did. The many (many) parts and all of the hardware are very well labeled, and all of the predrilled holes lined up very well. The only very minor snafu we had was one piece missing its predrilled holes. As it turned out, the holes were indeed there, but had been covered with laminate that was not drilled through. This was a simple fix and we were quickly back to building. If you read carefully, follow the instructions, and TAKE YOUR TIME, you'll have a beautiful and well-made vanity (that can double as a desk) with color changing lights and plenty of storage space. I was shocked at the amount of time it took to put together because I am a very experienced DIYer. It was least 15 hours for my husband & I to sort pieces and parts (some not marked) and put the desk together. It really looks great, I’m just not sure about the ergonomics for a professional manicurist like myself. The top is very high (clients are commenting) yet I cannot raise my chair because the lower shelf hits my legs. I’m am about 5ft 4in and a 120 pounds so it’s not a size thing. I had to drill a hole for the cords and the power strip popped like it could be defective so I am not using it. I do love the storage and the bottom shelf holds my dust collector when not in use.. Overall, and for the price, I’d say this desk is ideal. I live in a 700 sq ft space and needed something for my new office corner as I’d started working remotely. I was a bit surprised at the material used for the drawers—they’re made of fabric with plastic handles—but that’s on me for not reading the product description more closely. However, I did appreciate that the drawers were easy to construct in that they are actually collapsible containers. Overall construction was very easy and took maybe an hour solo. I think the only caveat I have is that the elevated platform portion made it difficult to install a C-clamp dual monitor stand. After five hours, and yes, it was five hours of consistently working. We finally got it together. It seems fairly sturdy and it looks nice. There’s like 10 million screws and it took forever. There were a couple of pieces that the listings on them. The numbers were backwards. So watch out for that fortunately thankfully all the holes that were pre-drilled. I wish they had been a little deeper. It would’ve made things go a little faster, but they were all in the right spots. That was very helpful.
