The Ispring ED2000 whole-house electronic water descaler is an innovative, computerized water conditioning system that solves hard water problems without the need for chemicals, salt, or filter cartridges by leaving the minerals in the water and preventing them from forming lime-scale deposits. It requires little maintenance as it does not need the constant salt additions or cartridge replacements that traditional water softening systems require. It’s not the most expensive descaled but so far so good. Puts on a nice light show too. The manual is well written. This appears to be manufactured in Atlanta. Not thrilled about the wall wart power supply and would had preferred an internal version. Edit after a few months, my 20 year old plumbing has been descaling en mass. I replaced my water heater, also 20 years old. The water is coming out with the lime sentiment. It quickly settles. But I’m hoping it finishes. The product obviously works. Have not installed yet but the item looks to be of great quality and the installation instructions are clear and easy to follow. According to the instruction, only one chroma light could be hooked a Mr. Steam generator.
