It keeps things simple but still gives you a better bathing experience. The 67-inch rectangular shape gives you enough room to stretch out without taking up too much space in the bathroom. Since it’s a freestanding acrylic bathtub, it’s easier to handle during installation and doesn’t feel too cold when you step in. The surface feels smooth, and the design stays clean without trying too hard to stand out. The whirlpool system comes with 9 jets along with 8 air blowers. Together, they move the water around your body in a steady way. It’s not too strong, but enough to help you relax after a long day. You can just sit back and let it run without needing to adjust much. There’s also a waterfall faucet included. The water flows in a smooth way, which feels different from a regular tap. It’s a small detail, but you do notice it once you use it. The control panel is simple, so you can manage the settings without spending time figuring things out. As Ellen Ehk Åkesson was asked to create an art object in honor of Ulrica Hydman Vallien's artistry, the magnificent Ticka was born. The object became part of Kosta Boda's 2021 tribute collection to the late Hydman Vallien. Ticka, available in a limited edition of 100 pieces, is a vessel from Ellen’s own imagination based on the same shape as Ulrica’s “snake bowl”. “I wanted to make something of my own, but with a connection to Ulrica’s art. For the tribute collection, I was inspired by the directness of her approach and style. The vessel symbolizes a tree trunk. It’s covered with modeled polypore mushrooms, called ‘Ticka’ in Swedish – hence the name.” – Ellen Ehk Åkesson. Ticka is handmade in Kosta, Sweden.
