Unfortunately the Sand and Stable bath vanities I ordered didn’t include a side splash. They don’t make a side 21” side splash either, so I rolled the dice trying to find a near match for the carrera white quartz vanity. Crown molding adds a beautiful finish to elegant rooms. To get this look you would simply hire a professional to figure out and install all of the complicated miter cuts. This made the cost of crown molding more expensive as this method can be labor-intensive. Not anymore. Ours molded inside and outside corners make installation a breeze. It's lovely material, but the install was initially pretty (conceptually) tough. Screwed up with the adhesive and had to order another piece of this. The main thing that saved the final install was using a (cordless) nailer, which made it a lot easier. If you don't have one, recommend to borrow one from a friend (hopefully you already have one). If you don't use a nailer, try to find the least obtrusive finish nails / use a precision finish tool (not sure what it is called but it's a little thing you use with a hammer to push the nail heads deeper, but not so that you dent the moulding) to submerge the nail heads. When you paint this, also recommend to start with the little domes and really work around them so paint does not pool. Finish the rest of the paint job with swipes in parallel to the length of the 'board'. I ended up using four coats of paint...it was worth it. Your mileage may vary! nicely made polystyrene pieces which are well designed, but require an expert carpenter for a quality installation due to slight variations from piece to piece, injected molded from similar but not identical molds. Per my carpenter, these were convenient, but required a tremendous of finesse and adjustments at every miter joint to look right. Quality glue (PL Premium) and a solid substrate that will not move (a grid of 1x3's glued and screwed to ceiling joists) are essential for stability. Overall "a wash" in terms of time and expense compared to having full boxes and mouldings constructed the old fashioned way. For the curved bay windows straight pieces needed to be hollowed out, bent, and carefully glued and tacked in place under high tension.
