We did a total remodel of our shower, and I wanted a door with a clean and modern look. This one is WONDERFUL. Since installation was beyond our capability, I did have a contractor install it. He said that it was easy to install but advised 2 people to complete the task. The door arrived in 4 packages, and all the parts were present. We have hard water, so I especially love that the glass has a special coating to minimize spoting. I like that the door has the ability to be installed to swing inward or outward. I have one of those bathrooms reminiscent of the 1990s despite my home being built in the early 2000s. Big garden tub that never gets used with a stall shower next to it. The shower was so gross. Metal all rotted, difficult to slide the door. I would love to redo the bathroom entirely, but I thought let's just try a new door to start. It truly has refreshed the bathroom so much. I wish I could figure out how the heck to replace/get rid of the half glass wall but that'll have to come next. I did have to get a height that was just a smidge too big too, as my measurement wasn't found anywhere. Easy to install ,nice door ,my opinion i would stay closer to the 48 inch size opening like 46 to48 ,i know it only another 2 inches to the 44 inches it says it can fit but it doesn't leave alot of room for the opening , it will work just suggest the person using the shower be on the smaller side..
