We had this system installed in our remodeled bathroom in September 2023. For the most part, it has worked beautifully and we've been ecstatic with it. However, it is not without issues. It has to be re-paired with Amazon Alexa every 3 months, unlike every other Alexa skill out there. Why? Who knows. Because Kohler says so, I guess. Lately it has been needing to be re-paired every 2 weeks (today was the 3rd time). Also today it said there's a firmware update, but when I go to update I get a message that the shower is offline and I need to check the wifi connection. How? There's no wifi settings on the shower setup or in the app, or in my Kohler account anywhere. There is an Advanced/Locked section of settings that requires a PIN on the in-shower control and I have no idea what the PIN is or how to find it; we didn't set it and we can't get into these settings. This is a beautiful drain, with a gleaming copper patina and grain, and a cute little strainer insert with a wire lift that stops the drain versus allows the flow to empty. It functions well, matches my hammered copper bar sink so nicely, and I like the removable basket. When the basket is in, the flip wire bar either lifts or lowers the basket so that water either empties or fills, respectively. Very satisfied with this item and purchase.
