This is a cute item, for sure, but the price is too high for the level of quality. Silo top was misshapen and would not attach without adjustments, and the holes in the legs were not large enough to allow the bolts to pass through for assembly. I ended up needing to drill larger holes on each leg or there would have been no way to actually attach them. Havent decided where to set this up for the girls yet. Took a while to set up with one person, but did just fine (after realizing I had to disassemble a couple pieces backwards...oops). Definitely use the protective gloves, edges are very sharp. Arrived banged up and dented, but with some determination and bending while assembling, it didnt make a noticeable difference. The protective metal tray to retrieve the eggs is odd, perhaps need hinges vs screws But I just left them a bit loose to openshut easily. Also, use a regular screwdriver. Recommend this product!. My 12 year old son and I had no problem assembling this in about an hour. I the wood is not as thick/sturdy as I had hoped. I think it will be excellent for our first 4 chickens. We will have it inside. Covered run with a water proof cover so hopefully it will last a little while. The bottom metal tray seems fragile. I hope it can withstand the weight of 4 chickens.
