The unique composition of 80% ground quartzite and 20% acrylic is also moisture-resistant and acts as a natural soundproofing material.

After a full month of use all is well so far. We tend to be fairly gentle with our sink and pans (stainless steel) in it while washing. We don’t leave food items sitting in the sink for long periods of time, and have not had any issues with it discoloring/staining. What a gorgeous sink. It’s just as the pictures if not better. We haven’t installed it yet but I’m sure it will be great. The chiseled front looks good, it has a grey color in it since the front is not treated. If you wanted the front to be black you just need to seal the front with a wet sealer. It is eco-friendly requiring fewer cleansers. Made and hand-finished in Italy, each sink is unique. Due to the firing process, dimensions are nominal and may vary to actual up to 0.5". A custom cabinet is required to support the weight of this sink. A note about fireclay: small cracks will appear on the unglazed underside of the sink. These are cosmetic only and have no impact on the performance of the sink.
