I ordered these chair mats recently and was a little surprised that they felt pretty cold when they arrived. If you’re ordering during the winter, I’d recommend letting them sit at room temperature for a while before unrolling them. Once they warmed up and I followed the instructions, they flattened out without any issues. So far they’ve been working really well. My chair glides smoothly on the carpet now, which is a big improvement from before. They also look nice and are easy to wipe clean, so maintenance has been simple. The mat fits my computer desk area perfectly. However, it is not as transparent as I thought it would be. It's clear but has a frosted design to it. It had a slight plastic odor that went away within a day of opening. It wasn't laying flat from being rolled up in the box, so I took a hair-dryer to it for about 15 minutes, which fixed the issue. I am using this on an LVP floor. The problem has always been that mats don't stick to this flooring. This mat moves a little, but is much better than anything else I have tried.
