When not in use it is flush with the stovetop which helps create a flat seamless flow on the countertop. When we have used it, it works very well. Fold the spa cover over the arm and swing it out of the way letting the cover lifter do the work. This product fits most rectangular spas up to 96" wide; the spa must have 18" of clearance from surrounding objects and comes complete with all necessary parts and instructions including mounting parts and hardware. This mounts in the back of the spa.

This lift is similar to ones I have had in the past. Installation is straightforward. I prefer this design for it carries the load at a lower point and keeps the cover further away from the spa.
