I just love my new cooktop. The design makes it really easy to clean. In terms of performance, I noticed that cook times are a little bit shorter. The gas dial has a wide range, so I can go from very low to high flame. Also having an additional burner is great. I can have multiple meals going at the same time. It’s good stuff! Love the color and finish, and as mosaic tiles go, it’s a very easy install. Being porcelain, it’s very hard and durable, and perhaps best of all, you can use an orbital sander to remove thinset and grout without damaging the finish—huge time saver! Just one critical thing to know in advance: these are spaced at 4mm, and you’ll have to search hard to find 4mm spacers. 3/16 is too wide, 1/8 is too skinny. On the upside, if things start looking a wee bit out of alignment, you can use those 3/16 and 1/8 spacers (very selectively) to cheat a little, with no discernible impact to aesthetics.. Ryan. We are used to cooking with stainless cookware and the only usable burner for cooking on lower heat is the simmer burner. The others are just too intense. The grates are really heavy duty.
