This was the stupidest assembly. Add me into some of the stupid. The directions said it will come in two boxes. By step 3 I can see that piece #6 doesn't touch the ground. But I had all the pieces so I kept assembling hoping it would somehow anchor. No. It was wobbly when I finished. And it seems complete. So what's in the other box? Longer #6. Why were there short parts in the first place?! Another hour later and I've reassembled with the longer pieces. It's a sturdy bed now. But wth. This is really beautiful and seems well made and very sturdy. Delivery was awesome. Very polite, professional guys unloaded it from their truck, fully assembled, and placed it in the room. 4 stars, rather than 5 because the mattress is VERY firm. I slept on it the first night, as a test. Too hard. Last night, though, I slept on it with a good mattress topper, and it was perfect! I really like this daybed frame. It's really everything I wanted, with one exception. It is sturdy, simple to put together, and looks very nice. Even with reviewing the measurements before purchasing, it was surprisingly large once assembled, but I'm ok with that. The problem for me is that the area where the mattress goes is about 4-5" wider than a standard twin mattress, so there is a gap between the mattress and frame and mattress can slide around a bit. I plan to make a bolster to fit along the back side to remedy this, but it is a bit frustrating to have to do so.
