The traditional round shaped light is wrapped in a broad black strip with a wood grain interior and a bright white shade. When it lights up, you can clearly see the wood grain color of the inner layer, like the forest at night.

We replaced an old fluorescent fixture with this LED fixture. Our house was built in 1939, but I'd date the the original fixture from the 1990s. This light is well-priced and, in turn, the "wood" does not look much like wood (photos attached). It is a cheap plastic imitation made to look like wood, and even less than the product photos suggest. I know this is a tradeoff for the price. It looks metallic (more gold than wood) when the light is on. Installation was simple enough, but please know that light is attached to the bracket upon arrival so you'll want to twist it off before installation. With our older wiring, we didn't have a green ground screw (existing wires were already grounded), so we capped the provided copper ground wire. The light it a very warm/yellow light -- not a natural/white sunny light -- and I don't know yet if this will feel like too little light. This is an upgrade from what we had -- a fluorescent light that took a few seconds to blink on to minimal visibility -- and is a good price. I still feel it's lacking, though, and that maybe it's worth spending 2x more for a fixture that feels more intentional, if that's in your budget.. Shannon. Denver, CO. Sat Jun 13 2026

We were really disappointed with the whole experience. What we received was a Progress Lighting fixture, not a Ceaser of lighting fixture. If you are going to supply a Progress Lighting fixture, your web site should show that. Second, the fixture finish was listed as brushed nickel, but it was more like a bright nickel/chrome-like finish; we thought we received the wrong fixture. During the glass panel assembly, the small holding tabs were smashed so far down, we couldn't get the glass panels to slide into the frame. We had to gently pry apart the ends of the tabs to install the side panels, and during installation of the end panels. all of the holding tabs broke off! We found an alternate way to hold the panels in place, but it took much effort and time. A really frustrating, unsatisfactory experience.
