It's hard to find a replacement for a gas downdraft cooktop, but this one is great! Burners are stronger than previous cooktop (not GE). Downdraft works much better, doesn't pull flames from burners. Have this for about 15 months. Using Barkeepers for stainless steel to clean but over time, some spills have become impossible to remove. Any recommendations on other acceptable safe cleaners? I have black stainless steel. The cooktop works well. Too bad the hortizontal piece on which the knobs sit become very hot when the stove is in use. Need to be careful. So when I saw this on Wayfair, I thought I could upgrade my gas cooktop with a newer one, as the dimensions were the same as my old gas cooktop. It arrives and I was surprised that the quality was better than my old one by a little bit. The strikers that ignite the fire were a bit larger and shouldn’t have issues if they get dirty. Overall it is a good cooktop. Unfortunately, the underside of the cooktop is much wider than my old one, so I can’t replace it in my kitchen as the wood underneath the cooktop I have now is too narrow.
