Update 524 Contacted Wayfair the day I found my dented bottom piece. They got me in touch with Monument Grills the same day through their support. Monument Grills shipped out a new replacement base plate and I received it today. Excellent customer service. Changed my review from one star to 4. Would of made it a 5 if I didnt have to go through having to contact Support in the first place. Used the grill a few times now. Cooks great. Came dented. I read numerous reviews stating theirs were dented. I decided to roll the dice. No luck. My dent was on the side of the lower base plate. It affected the uniform shape of the grill. Really had to tighten screws to get things to go. The right door just falls off when I open it because the lower peg is slightly unaligned. Hopefully I can contact someone and get this replaced. Bought this several months ago. Although I sent the link with specs and installation instructions to the builder's subcontractor, he installed the grill on wood supports which is combustible. Of course, the builder blamed us for not buying via his subcontractor (which would have been much more expensive). After the subcontractor made a steel box with cement board to address the combustion issue, we discover he didn't allow room to pull the grease pans out. It's hard to find a replacement for a gas downdraft cooktop, but this one is great! Burners are stronger than previous cooktop (not GE). Downdraft works much better, doesn't pull flames from burners. Beautiful grill . . .very heavy duty and well made. The burners work well. The far right burner, #5, is supposed to be the very hot one and it is a little hotter. But it works better to put three burners on, because if you are cooking 4 steaks, you need that many for the even heat. From quickly boiling water to maintaining a simmer, this innovative cooktop stainless steel gas cooktop features powerful burners to accommodate a number of dishes at once.

Have this for about 15 months. Using Barkeepers for stainless steel to clean but over time, some spills have become impossible to remove. Any recommendations on other acceptable safe cleaners? I have black stainless steel. The cooktop works well. Too bad the hortizontal piece on which the knobs sit become very hot when the stove is in use. Need to be careful. Despite manual specifying what size of pots/pans should be used on which burners, I've been able to have at least 3 large pots/pans all cooking at once.. Visionquest1928. Southern California.
