This cedar shed is perfect as an additional bunk house/office for our vacation/remote work location. My contractor, who assembled it had a few issues as the directions are pretty basic. So pay attention to part numbers as the illustrated plans indicate what goes where. It arrives on two pallets with wall panels that already have the siding attached and roof panels already shingled. He bought pressure treated 2x4s and better plywood for the base/floor since the cabin didn't come with all the pieces of flooring needed (super annoying) and making 6 or 8 joist boxes is kinda silly but due to fitting everything on pallets, that's necessary from a manufacturing standpoint. So we improvised. In these photos, we had painted the floor already, preparing for laying the final flooring. We will be insulating and adding a nice whitewashed paneling for the interior walls. We may run an extension cord out there or actually run power properly. Not sure yet. My contractor billed me 30 hours for assembly and he worked alone. Great shed! This is a major appliance. I am super excited about this and to get it installed in the bonus room above the garage. It gets pretty warm in there in the summer months and cold in the winter months. This is exactly what I needed. I have had somewhat of a journey finding an HVAC company to install it considering I already have the equipment, but I have two quotes which seem reasonable and will look to have it installed in the coming weeks. It is definitely a sleek, looking appliance that will blend in nicely to the room. HVAC estimators said all of the components are standard and included and there was nothing more they needed to add to it. One said it looked like a high-quality product to install. I love the fact that it has remotes for the different appliances. It even comes with a mounting guide (see picture below). The inverter option is great for any place with short winters for the same reason noted above, no furnace needed! I heat up a room for the cold hours of the night and that’s it. The remote control is a must, but it works great with the thermostat so I just set the temperature I like and that’s it! The room stays at a comfortable temperature. My husband was able to do most of the installation. It was relatively easy to install the unit on the wall with parts that are included, we only had a certified electrician do the the connection and final install of the unit. These little cedar sachets are very nice. The size is perfect. They are not too big but also they are not too small. The fragrance is very nice. It’s not overpowering. Great product. Because it’s large, it will be a challenge for two people, with the roof installation needing at least three strong individuals. Finished product smells wonderful inside, but it is not waterproof on the sides unless finished, as cedar absorbs water and it leaves stains inside.. Am pleased with the shed, but too many complications with the order. Late arrival, order was not correct. The shed I ordered was supposed to be for the larger shed than the one I received . Two out of three crates were for the smaller shed, and one crate was for the larger shed (it was for the porch which didn't fit the smaller shed).
