What a great lamp my DEER! I'm very happy with my purchase - look how cute this is and how it complements my nightstand! The 3-way nightlight is adorable. Please note that the wire around the center is part of the decoration - it wasn't mentioned in the instructions and I could see someone unraveling it thinking it was part of the cord (I almost did:)). The shade was easy to snap on and it was well protected in the box. If I gave any points off it would be that you can see the wire rim if you are standing up looking at the lamp and the charging port is easily reachable for the person on the right side of the bed but the person on the left side will have to turn the lamp to get to the port (not a big deal but a detail to be aware of). He is not perfect he is just enough imperfect to make him quirky and fit in beautifully to my home. His nostrils and eyes are a bit off from one another. Gives him personality. He was easy to put together. The ears and rack fit in very snuggly in the slots provided so they do not move. If one wanted to they could use some wood glue and make the attachment more permanent.
