They are indoor cats but we wanted to give them a safe sanctuary when are not home. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. Super happy with this. Was using one of those litter boxes that look like a pot with a plant in it. Plastic got scratched and it started holding on to odors and dirt. The area inside was a bit small for my big guy. This rattan box is a really beautiful choice if you’re looking for something more elevated. I use a stainless pan and its perfect. So far, so good! I’ve had this litter box for about two weeks, and both of my cats love it. One of the biggest benefits for me is that I haven’t noticed any lingering odors after they use it. The litter passes through the grates smoothly during the cleaning cycle, and I haven’t experienced any issues with clumping or litter getting stuck in the machine. Ive been using this for a few weeks and so far so good. Its been an adjustment for the cats because the motor scares them a little. But theyve come around one by one. The set up was very easy. It looks nice and is perfect for what I need! But the screws for the box need to be longer. I had two come out within minutes of putting them in. This tower is pretty good. It is sized for adult cats instead of kittens when most cat furniture is not. The cat shown in the photo is approximately 16 pounds and it fits them perfectly. I will say it doesn’t feel quite as sturdy as I was anticipating but I do feel it will hold up for many years.
