Easy enough to assemble with properly marked items and hardware. A drill isn't required, but I'd recommend having a small one handy as well as a standard phillips screwdriver. The instruction manual includes directions for assembly with the side door opening on the right. The pieces are manufactured so they be used on either side so know where you want the opening before beginning assembly. The cabinet has enough room to fit the PetPivot Large Open-Top Automatic Litter Box with a litter mat and trash bags. The cabinet looks nice and fits where I wanted it. The side opening is a bit larger than necessary so my cat still ends up spreading litter on the outside when she exits. Also, I wish it came in more colors (I'll probably end up painting it). Assembly would have taken me about 30 minutes if I had just followed the instructions and committed to which side I wanted the cat entrance on from the start. we got the black one for our living room, it fits right in with our furniture, you'd never know theres a litterbox in it. we have 2 15lb cats that use it, and they have more than enough room. very helpful at keeping the litter mess contained. our one cat does like to push the doors open and jump out the side, but we find that funny and endearing, but I guess something to mention for other cat owners who might not want that lol..
