This kitty pumpkin bed is so useful to my cats. One can get inside and another outside and they can bat at each other through the bars. It seems more to play than sleep. It was easy to assemble; but the picture of the assembled pumpkin was worth more than directions. Although it looks like soft foam, the "bars" are actually quite firm. There was a soft, furry ball hanging inside but my cats tore it down and fed it to the dog in the first hours. This is so lightweight and takes up so little space that it might be something to amuse your cats on a long road trip, if you are indeed brave enough to take your kitties on a long road trip.
