My husband, adult daughter, and teenage son all sat on this comfortably for dinner. It is a true white color, as you can see from my photo against my antique white table legs and walls. Having a back makes bench seating so much more comfortable and this one is the perfect height to fit under my service window. We thought it looked too bulky in our space at first, but it has really grown on us! I haven’t decided if I’ll paint it antique white to match the surroundings. I took off one star because one of the sides came with a misaligned hole! Thankfully, my husband it handy and measured and drilled a hole in the correct spot. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the very last thing we did was use wood screws to attach the legs to the cross pieces and the last screw went clear through and pierced the right front leg. It's almost imperceptible, but annoying. Also, we picked the natural color and expected variations in color and grain. However there's a black streak in the grain of the back piece.
