This rug is great for taking the cold chill off a tile floor. It is well made. We have furniture setting on two corners so the rug would not move. I would suggest a non-skid pad on a hard surface just to prevent sliding if there is no furniture on it. The edges are sewn well so the rug lays very flat on the edges. We were concerned about a rug being a tripping hazard but this rug does not because it lays very flat. This rug is very high quality! It lays extremely flat right away. The pad I bought for under it isnt settled yet so you see those folds underneath.... but that will subside.
