Added this to the side of my house. I added pressurized wood to level bottom since my pad is sloped. Also added wood around the sides and top because the brickwork on the bottom prevents greenhouse from being flush against siding. I recently had siding put on my home. My contractor sort of refused to put my old awnings back on the house - rightfully so - would have been awful! So, I started searching for suitable choices. Many were negated because they wouldn't have mounted to the siding correctly. Then I found this (and a larger one for my front door but got that one elsewhere as Wayfair didn't have that size) and realized that a mounting kit could be purchased for vinyl siding! Hooray! It's gorgeous - so minimalistic and really matches the house. It hasn't rained yet so I don't know how well it will shield but at least it looks pretty. The Palram - Canopia Side Louver Window is designed to improve air circulation and help control the temperature in all Palram - Canopia Mythos, Hybrid, Essence, Nature Series, Americana, Balance and Glory greenhouses. The shutters are controlled manually for variable airflow to help aid in cooling on warmer days. When paired with the roof vent, the louver window can provide improved air circulation. Additionally, the Palram - Canopia Side Louver Shutters can be fitted with the Automatic Louver Window Opener to provide the ideal airflow into the greenhouse.

The automatic louver vent opener was designed to automatically control the temperature and provide additional ventilation in all Canopia greenhouses. As the air inside the greenhouse warms, the vent gradually opens to allow the correct amount of air flow into the greenhouse and closes when the optimal temperature is reached. The vent arm was designed with the use of natural minerals that expand with heat to push a piston, which raises the window, as the air gets warmer then contracts as it cools, closing with the use of a spring. The automatic vent opener operates without the use of electricity.

It's been years since we installed this and it still looks good. The "glass" has held up, even through some tough weather this year. It's a bit of a pain to clean, but that's mainly because it's over a landing for the front door that's raised, so getting to the sides is awkward. These were much larger in real life than I was expecting but seemed the right size once installed. They came with decent instructions but pictures only so takes a little to figure out. They came with rubber stripes to put between pieces but they dont make a tight seal so I bought 12 backer strips to add between the frame and plexiglass for a tight seal. The steel supports are high quality. Installation was straightforward. One person with any DIY skills can install a single awning. If I were to install the four, again, I would get assistance. Functionally, the Aquila solved a rainwater runoff problem. Since rain gutters were insufficient, the Aquila awnings serve to guide the water off the roof and beyond the windows below. The clear smoke tint provides some protection from the sun, while maintaining our view from inside. Aesthetically, the Aquila system matches the look of our contemporary-modern house. Amazing shed. Easy to put together with great directions. Just make sure to follow them EXACTLY. Sometimes they tell you to put in a screw or bolt, but not tighten it. They MEAN it. It will save you time later when you don't have to loosen up that bolt or screw to fit in a piece. The pieces are a good thickness and well designed. Screw and bolt holes line up perfectly. I waited until the first severe windstorm to see how it held up before writing this review. It did great! I have it bolted directly into my porch, mind you. As others have stated, assembling this is a trip to the 7th circle of hell. It took me and two other people 5 days to put this together. The instructions are very poor, things not labelled properly, some steps are backwards, some of the pieces just don't fit together quite right, you'll get part way through and then realize you put something on upside down without realising it (because it's not labelled) and then have to backtrack several steps, and so on.
