These lights hang swagged along the ceiling edge my 40’ front porch. This is the second year (2026) they have been put up. I have them plugged into a timer so every night they go on at dusk and off at midnight. I have never had to replace the any of the bulbs yet. The bulbs are plastic, but do not look like glass. I bought them specifically for that reason because the previous string came down in a windy storm leaving glass shattered everywhere. If we realized it would be so long, we would have adjusted the wires a bit prior to finishing hanging it.
