I have two senior dogs and it gets cold here in the Northeast. The cover on this pet heating pad is so soft and it is removable and can be machine washed. There is a timer setting and the temperature range is from 61-69. The instructions say different temperatures but the ones I mentioned are the ones on the remote. I do like that the cord is protected with a casing around it, my dogs are not chewers but this is a nice feature for the ones that are. I have two smaller dogs so they both fit on this pad. I opened up all the zippers and took all the stuffing packets out and hand separated all the foam allowed the foam chunks to expand then reassembled. I it to my dog and put in on the floor and she climbed on and fell sound asleep. She has a back leg that is always sore due to femoral osteotomy and she is in heaven . For reference I got the biggest one and she weighs 60 pounds boxer mix.
