Soooo I think I saw that it was white and assumed it was painted and ready to go, but it does need to be painted. It is primed, but if you look at the closeup you can see it is unfinished. Needs a light sanding and paint. It is beautiful though. I ordered a barn door from Wayfair from a different maker and it came fully boxed, whereas this one came wrapped in bubble wrap and plastic and had boxing only at the top and bottom and was missing the rail to mount it. The first door I ordered was damaged in transit and it didn’t even make it to me before being returned to Wayfair. A couple weeks after I ordered it, I messaged Wayfair and they went ahead and ordered a replacement that was here in 2 days. Always choose Wayfair for their incredible customer service. The door is beautiful and not a farm house type of look like I was worried, it’s more classy and adds a lot of charm and texture. It’s not overly heavy, pretty straightforward to put up.. Jennifer. As soon as we opened the box, we noticed a chip in the bottom board. The box is heavy, and when deliverd I am guessing it was dropped on the ground. We were able to glue the piece back on, and we are waiting for a new piece. We wanted the door up for guests, so we installed. It took about 3 hours to assemble. Hangin the track was another 2 hours after doing all the math. I believe you will always need a ledger board to mount this door. The holes are 17.5 inches for the lag bolts, and that does not alighn with studs that are typically 16 inch on center. Overall, the dorr looks nice and functions the way it should. One note, when you watch the installation video, you will notice that when the installer puts on the door stops, he is tightening the set screw from the bottom. Beautiful door and very heavy. You definitely need to have someone install that is strong, as the door is heavy. You also need to make sure you're hitting studs or that you have a support beam installed. I ended up having a support beam put in. Also, you should be aware that this door sticks out from the wall a bit so you will have a gap on either side, which is not ideal - but I'll live with it as it's just a pantry.. Karen. Ordered (3) 30"x80" of these hollow core doors, went through 3 replacements because they kept getting damaged in transit, these are the one that were delivered as good, still had to patch them with wood filler, sand and paint. They only arrive wrapped in plastic, suggestions to the manufacturer at least use cardboard for protection of the delicate hollow core doors.
