Durable and maintenance-free, Accordion doors are a perfect choice for any room. They are crafted of energy-efficient, double wall vinyl panels with flexible vinyl hinges. The surface is coated with a scratch-resistant clear UV varnish that does not emit harmful fumes and provides excellent insulation from kitchen fumes. Accordion doors fold up neatly and when fully folded, they take up only 10% of the space compared to traditional doors.

Of course the images from the manufacturer are curated to make items look better than they are, but this is a good solution for spots with limited space. I would have sprung for a pocket door, but there isn't enough space. The powder room previously had a vinyl bifold door which I would keep open for the extra sunlight and fresh air, but it jutted out when open, wasting about 16 inches of space in my bedroom. This is extremely compact when it is closed -- et voila! my room just got bigger! This door plastic, and that is obvious -- the handle is an example of where the looks are lacking, but it's functional, and I can always change the handle. Because the powder room is so tiny, it was a bit claustrophobic with the solid, bi-fold door closed. The lights in the door are also plastic, but they are opaque and completely obscure the view. This door improves the experience of using this 1/2 (possibly 1/4!) bath. I like that fact that the door can fold flat against the wall and be out of the way. It works perfectly in the space like I envisioned it. The only thing that took a star from my review was that the knobs were not as pictured and the knob screws included were too short to be used. Not a big issue and can be easily fixed by using something else to replace. Just an fyi… a door frame doesn’t come included so I needed to figure something out on my own to install the door. The frame issue was probably just me misunderstanding the description of the included parts and my misconception that it would be included. This door is very pretty. I wanted something to give guests some privacy from the main living area. Took some effort to install. The instructions are not good. The item is advertised to fit openings up to 36”. What it doesn’t say is that it’s adjustable in increments of 5” by removing panels. Our opening was 35 1/2 inches.
