The frame issue was probably just me misunderstanding the description of the included parts and my misconception that it would be included. Shoulder rests were a little more tricky to line the tracks up because of the thickness of the padding. We had to turn the chair on its side and one of us squished down the padding while the other one slid the piece on its track, but overall not at all difficult.
