The only real downsides were the instructions and a couple of small hardware issues. The manual had some of the worst English I’ve ever seen on an instruction sheet — it was genuinely confusing and made installation take longer than it should have. The clamping pins also felt a bit cheap and could have been higher quality, but they’re functional. Overall I’m very happy with the purchase. The doors look great and deliver on style and value. Durable and maintenance-free, Accordion doors are a perfect choice for any room. They are crafted of energy-efficient, double wall vinyl panels with flexible vinyl hinges. The surface is coated with a scratch-resistant clear UV varnish that does not emit harmful fumes and provides excellent insulation from kitchen fumes. Accordion doors fold up neatly and when fully folded, they take up only 10% of the space compared to traditional doors.

Of course the images from the manufacturer are curated to make items look better than they are, but this is a good solution for spots with limited space. I would have sprung for a pocket door, but there isn't enough space. The powder room previously had a vinyl bifold door which I would keep open for the extra sunlight and fresh air, but it jutted out when open, wasting about 16 inches of space in my bedroom. This is extremely compact when it is closed -- et voila! my room just got bigger! This door plastic, and that is obvious -- the handle is an example of where the looks are lacking, but it's functional, and I can always change the handle. Because the powder room is so tiny, it was a bit claustrophobic with the solid, bi-fold door closed. The lights in the door are also plastic, but they are opaque and completely obscure the view. This door improves the experience of using this 1/2 (possibly 1/4!) bath.
