No. But it is extremely helpful. These are things I was ready for, but some other buyers might not be ready for. This is an RF controlling device. While it makes some devices a little easier to use it does not make those devices "smart". If you have someone who likes to use the remotes a lot, the app will show incorrect settings for those devices that have changed with the remote. This does not bug me, but for someone who is not ready for that, make sure you understand what this device is first. I highly recommend Bond. This is an affordable way to use what you already have. Less devices in the landfill for replacements, and a pretty great way to control my devices from my phone. 3/4 in. downrods can be used to extend the Modern Forms downrod ceiling fan height. Downrods are available in 12 in., 18 in., 24 in., 36 in., 48 in., 60 in., and 72 in. sizes along with a variety of finish options to match your fan finish. Downrods can be joined together using a downrod coupler (DC-xx) to make lengths greater than 72 in. and may also be shortened in the field.
