For the past few months, I’ve been updating all the doors in my home, switching them from white to black. This is a great door and exactly as pictured and what I needed for my bathroom linen closet. I haven’t been able to hang it yet due to not having the tool to cut the hole for the door handle and hinges but the door came in perfect condition and is primed nicely. Soooo I think I saw that it was white and assumed it was painted and ready to go, but it does need to be painted. It is primed, but if you look at the closeup you can see it is unfinished. Needs a light sanding and paint. It is beautiful though. I ordered a barn door from Wayfair from a different maker and it came fully boxed, whereas this one came wrapped in bubble wrap and plastic and had boxing only at the top and bottom and was missing the rail to mount it. The first door I ordered was damaged in transit and it didn’t even make it to me before being returned to Wayfair. A couple weeks after I ordered it, I messaged Wayfair and they went ahead and ordered a replacement that was here in 2 days. Always choose Wayfair for their incredible customer service. Medium weight and sturdy!! This barn door was fairly easy to install but it does require two people to install the sliding bracket. The door has a flat coat of paint so I would recommend painting it even if you want it to remain white- use at least a satin finish to reduce fingerprints. The handle is nice. Note- if your doorway is 38” wide, you will need to add wood to the interior frame or else there will be a gap. I recommend this door and would install it in other areas of my home. Shamika.
