Very nice door. Hinges are set for a 90 degree close. The hinges mount to one shower wall. If your walls aren't square with your shower base then your door will close too hard or not enough. If your door closes too hard, you can open a hinge and take a spring out. There are two springs in each hinge. If your door doesn't close enough you can open the hinge, remove the shaft and file or grind it to change the closing angle. I had to do the latter because my shower wall was at an angle that was greater than 90 degrees to my shower floor. The shower door directions don't mention altering the hinges. Unfortunately the first one came damaged, we sent this one back and Wayfair replaced it with a second one which also came damaged. We already had our plumbing moved. Our contractor stated he believed he could fix the leg and the damaged end so it would hardly be noticeable. We kept this one and Wayfair made it right for us. We are very grateful. This is really an issue with Fed Ex. While it was packed well , because of its bulkiness, you can see where the box had holes in the middle on both sides and was ripped open and patched over with cardboard. The ends were also dented and box resealed. It weighs 106 lbs. I have to tell you with that behind us it is a very beautiful shower pan and extremely hard to find in that size with a center drain. It is extremely sturdy. All correspondence with Fine Fixtures and Wayfair was quick and everything resolved to our satisfaction. Thank you Wayfair!! This shower system turned out awesome in our bathroom renovation. My husband is much handier than most and was able to install on his own. A few things you need to know what youre doing from the get-go. You have to make sure you get your tile surround just right, know where your studs are, everything. We initially had water pouring out of the door, but we quickly realized we needed to purchase a shower arm extender to point our rain shower head down rather than angled out. That simple change prevents any water from being directed at the door or the hinges. This system is plenty big, but I dont think I would want to go damage with this neo angle design.
