Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing. Let me start by saying—this chandelier is absolutely gorgeous. My package arrived right on time, and everything was securely packed with styrofoam to keep it in place during shipping. When I took the chandelier out of the box, I did notice that a few of the bulb bases were slightly bent due to the thin material. Thankfully, they were easy to bend back into shape without any issue. Next, I checked the K9 crystals. They were packaged in sets of two with tissue paper. In the first set I opened, one crystal was broken, which made me a little concerned about whether I’d have enough. But after going through the rest, I found that only that one piece was damaged—and I actually ended up with extra crystals, which was a huge plus. As for the instructions… there really weren’t any. I had to figure out the assembly on my own. Attaching the crystals can seem tedious at first, especially if you’re doing each butterfly clip one at a time. To make things easier, I pre-bent all the clips beforehand, which sped up the process a lot. Once everything was lined up, it was just a matter of inserting and pinching them closed. After it was fully assembled, it was completely worth the effort. I was even able to install it myself with a little help from my son and daughter holding it in place. I purchased this chandelier to replace a plain fluorescent light in my laundry room, and wow—what a transformation. It completely elevated the space and added such a beautiful, elegant touch. I’m very pleased with this purchase and already planning to order another in this size, plus a larger one to add to my foyer and dining area.
