I'll preface this by saying "I fully expect these to be trashed within a few years, as I have a busy kitchen and a three year old". That being said, the faux leather has held up well to all sorts of spills, stains, bumps, etc. They don't feel very sturdy but they do the job for now. I purchased a less expensive version, fully expecting to have to replace when the kids are older. Edit 2/13/2026. We've now had these just under 6 years. While I started my first review with an expectation of these being absolutely trashed in a couple years, I am thrilled to report that I was wrong. They're holding up great to a now 8 and 4 year olds daily meals. The kids also like to use these stools as stepladders to get cereal, bread, etc out of the upper cabinets. These bar stools are beautiful! I paid a little more than I wanted to considering the seats are faux leather. We wanted 2 new stools to put in our wet bar. They came together in 1 box (both stools) in 2 parts each and were packed well and the bottom metal legs were wrapped really well!! My husband secured the seats to the bottom with no problems. I really like the “tufting” of the faux leather. I wish the back of seat was maybe an inch or 2 higher, but these chairs had the look I wanted. They are comfortable to sit on. And very beautiful.
