My partner and I have been using this split frame for a few months now and we love it. This is our first hollow box spring after living with an old coil box spring for so long. Though there are definitely differences, we sleep just as well on it. For reference, the two of us on our queen double pillow top mattress with four additional mattress tops are roughly 650lbs all together. This split frame easily holds all of the combined weight. The hinges are designed for 3/4 inch to 1 inch thick doors and 3/4 inch 1 inch thick pilaster posts. They use this style of hinge due to the incredible strength they have, for the heavy solid plastic doors. Also known as a bathroom stall roller-bearing hinge set. Fasteners are included.
