I purchased this in eight foot lengths to install all over the house: living room, den, four bedrooms, and hallway. It is beautifully intricate in design and has held up over the years with no cracking or chipping. We painted it a white semi-gloss. My only minor concern is that in the winter it does shrink a bit at the seams, showing gaps. But I think a little white caulk would take care of it. Added plus: we had one wall that was curved. Love this solid core door. We are currently renovating our home and replacing all door with solid core doors. This is the one my daughter wanted for her room. She is currently painting it bright pink. I purchased this as an open box item and the door came in perfect condition. I don't believe the person who initially ordered it ever opened the box. There was no way we could put a shelf in this unit. I reached out to customer service and they were wonderful. I have decided that ordering furniture on line holds some risk. This is a very lightweight accent piece. What surprised me is it was put together when it came! I don’t think I have ever ordered an accent piece that I didn’t have to put together! I love all the draws and the sizes of the draws. I am using it as a bedside table and it has enough space to organize my bedside table. The only issue some people may have is it has a rough wood top.
