I originally purchased this bulb to use in my overhead living room light to provide warm lighting. I did not notice it was only 1 bulb instead of 4. I ended up using the single bulb for a glass accent light that I use on a side table. I love the warm light that the bulb provides, without harsh shadowing. When I first installed the bathroom lighting (5-light vanity fixture), I used regular (standard bulb-shaped) bulbs. Looked attractive, but thought it would give off more brilliance. I just changed the bulbs to the T10 LED variety, and WOW ... WHAT BRILLIANCE!! So, it isn't always the design of the fixture, but rather the bulb application that can make a world of difference.
