Out of the box, this griddle will NOT fit a Prestige 450, but I found it was easily altered to fit. As it is designed to fit the larger surface area of a Prestige 500, the rear spacer needs 1/4” cut off each side, and a small notch cut (see attached photos). The griddle is also too large front to back, but a couple of self-tapping screws along the back edge and inside the front lip of the barbecue prevent any movement. This griddle is really well made. Being stainless steel, there’s no seasoning needed - just clean with water after use to steam clean any food residue off. i have to admit i had no idea what to expect. Truly i just thought these would be some cheap light weight metal brackets. they were delivered very quickly. I went to pick up the box off the patio... again, thinking these were probably some cheap light weight metal brackets, but the box was heavy! quite heavy. I brought them in and pulled them out of the box and was very surprised and pleased at the weight and quality of these brackets. We had spent a lot of money on a large under mount hand hammered copper metal sink and i was concerned about the weight of the sink being carried by just the cabinet. i found these online and took a shot at them. very stout piece of metal and nice construction. I am 100% convinced that the sink is never going to move with these underneath it. Highly recommend this product should you ever find yourself in the need for support!. Dale. New Mexico. I have never had a batch disposal before. I have always had the traditional ones that require a switch to turn on. The only real issue (and its not much of one) is with how our sink is in the kitchen island there isn't a good spot to set the plunger when not in use other than in the sink itself. It is powerful and I am really happy how well it does its job. There is no flap that covers the opening to the drain like on traditional disposals. I thought this would be an issue having it open and silverware falling in. With our drain off to the right it really has not been a problem. Although I did have a fork fall into it the fact that the disposals "neck" between the sink and the bottom is long so the fork never fully fell into the disposal it just stood straight up. Also not having that flap covering the disposal makes it much easier to see at a glance if anything has made its way in that should be there. It is noisy but not bad, just as I expected as from traditional. I like the safety of it not turning on unless the plunger is in. We have young kiddos. Just makes me feel better.
