We did have a smaller window a/c unit that was just ok, but this one is a game-changer! It has a/c AND heat! Year-round comfort! It’s powerful enough to cool our entire garage (and we live in the South-so it definitely has its work cut out for it). The heater doesn’t exactly heat the whole room when it’s super cold out, but it definitely takes the chill out of the air and warms it sufficiently to make it possible to use the room in winter. We love it! The remote is handy and the timer feature is awesome. It is well-made and the as easy to install. We had to order a sleeve to slide it into, but it was very simple. Being able to schedule the unit to turn on has been a game changer. I like the night mode, especially since the screen turns off and it slowly tapers off how cool it is. It did startle us the first night because it makes a bit of a noise compared to a larger unit we have when on auto mode. The louver or where the air discharges moves up and down if you'd like and being able to have it close when the unit is off is nice. We had this system installed in our remodeled bathroom in September 2023. For the most part, it has worked beautifully and we've been ecstatic with it. However, it is not without issues. It has to be re-paired with Amazon Alexa every 3 months, unlike every other Alexa skill out there. Why? Who knows. Because Kohler says so, I guess. Lately it has been needing to be re-paired every 2 weeks (today was the 3rd time). Also today it said there's a firmware update, but when I go to update I get a message that the shower is offline and I need to check the wifi connection. How? There's no wifi settings on the shower setup or in the app, or in my Kohler account anywhere. There is an Advanced/Locked section of settings that requires a PIN on the in-shower control and I have no idea what the PIN is or how to find it; we didn't set it and we can't get into these settings. My system is split to a dedicated faucet and my 2 refrigerator's, ice makers and water dispensers. Water taste good, no issues. I did have to add a small pressure tank to keep the system from cycling multiple times when the ice maker was being filled or the water was being dispensed from the refrigerators. The refrigerators back pressure causes the RO system to shut off prematurely. With the added small waterdrop PWT ( pressure water tank) the system no longer Cycles and the pressure of the water coming out, has increased a small amount. The number of times per day the system comes on has also decreased because of the PWT. The system is not loud but noticeable. The reviews I've seen mainly complain about noise from the system. Which it's not my experience. Again, adding the PWT also reduces the numbem cycles the system runs per day. The system was easy to put in. Only pre-requirement is a dedicated electrical outlet under the sink. I split my power from my dishwasher. I ran my electrical line from the dishwasher under my cabinet into a dedicated dual Outlet. My system is split to a dedicated faucet and my 2 refrigerator's, ice makers and water dispensers. Water taste good, no issues. I did have to add a small pressure tank to keep the system from cycling multiple times when the ice maker was being filled or the water was being dispensed from the refrigerators. The refrigerators back pressure causes the RO system to shut off prematurely. With the added small waterdrop PWT ( pressure water tank) the system no longer Cycles and the pressure of the water coming out, has increased a small amount. The number of times per day the system comes on has also decreased because of the PWT. The system is not loud but noticeable. The reviews I've seen mainly complain about noise from the system. Which it's not my experience. Again, adding the PWT also reduces the numbem cycles the system runs per day. The system was easy to put in. Only pre-requirement is a dedicated electrical outlet under the sink. I split my power from my dishwasher. I ran my electrical line from the dishwasher under my cabinet into a dedicated dual Outlet.
