This is a fantastic portable AC! It works exceptionally well and I love its features, like how the vents move in opposite directions for maximum breeze and how the temperature display is also a thermostat. Portable is debatable, because it weighs 70 lbs. I am not strong, and I thought I would need to hire someone to help my husband get it up 2 flights of stairs. But then I cut out two holes near the top of the box to use as handholds and that provided all the extra help I needed. After it was delivered, I let it sit there for a couple of days and then I did not turn on the AC for another two days after dragging it up the stairs. The only problem was mine, because the window frame is 26 inches wide and the panel where the hose attaches and feeds out is almost 27 inches. I had to measure the excess and use a small hacksaw to saw off the tiny bit of excess plastic. Luckily this was not particularly difficult! This window ac unit does everything it should. Its small but mighty. I have it in a smaller bedroom and it cools it down very quickly! The lowest temp is 61 as a timer and all the basic features that a window unit usually comes with. You can turn the display off the lights in the display with the remote or you can leave it on. The display is very clear to read. I know its more of a personal preference, but I like how the remote is kind of bulky and a nice size. I always lose smaller things so I appreciate the size of the remote. The installation is what you would expect with any window AC unit. Nothing special.
