Had a hard time finding a fan the size I wanted but this was it! I wanted a larger size and most were not long enough for my 36" stove width I wanted a good 4" on each end. It looks great. Bit loud on low speed but think it's bcs it's so long. I don't mind. And it does a fantastic job of sucking up garlic or onion smells! Love the sleek look, baffles easy to remove and wash. We just had it installed yesterday. Recommend that you get a print out of the specifications and the installation. From what I was able to read in Wayfare’s description section, we would be able to install the unit flush with the ceiling. And unfortunately, because I didn’t have printed specifications we had to drop down the unit a foot from the ceiling. Not the inconspicuous flush mount unit and I was hoping for. According to my contractor, this was a very complicated unit to install. To be fair this is a relatively new category of range top hoods that are being offered. Pleased with the noise level, but have yet to cook with it. Read reviews from other previous purchasers, and a common statement was how small the remote controller was. We absolutely love our new 48" range hood! It shipped and delivered so quickly. It was packaged extremely well. Once we opened it and removed from the packaging, we were pleasantly surprised because of the copper edges. We did not realize the hood had this. We were unable to tell looking at the pictures on Wayfair. This hood matches our oil rubbed bronze fixtures throughout kitchen so nicely. We repurposed very old slate roofing tiles for our wall behind our 1950's stove. When we installed the hood, we used 5 inch iron pipes to have the hood sit out from the wall.
