These Hevea butcher block countertops were just what I wanted for my new office. They were well packaged and arrived without damage. A few coats of matte poly were easy to apply. Nice smooth edges too so no additional sanding needed. They were less than half the cost of what I could get through my local big box DIY store. Two additional shelves and two spacious drawers on smooth ball-bearing slides offer all the storage one may need. The middle shelf has slats offering the perfect space to store wine bottles or other kitchenware. This portable cart is the perfect mobile storage space thanks to the 360-degree swivel caster wheels, two of which are locking. The butcher block top and sturdy frame are engineered from solid wood to ensure long-time use. Overall pretty simple to put together…. Took me about 1.5 hours, but I put the towel bar and wheels on after the legs since my kitchen is tight on space and wasn’t sure they would work. Smaller hands make assembly a bit easier since some of the connections are in not easily assessable areas. The long and medium bolts are the same length! The Allyn wrench provided is too long, so used a smaller one I had that worked better for me.
