This shade was a great replacement for the old, yellow one that broke. It features a soft, bright matte white finish. Although it comes with a cap equipped with two holes for pull chains, only the center chain is functional because the opening is too narrow to use the fan chain—at least for my model of fan. There is no hardware to cover it so if it bothers you to see the exposed copper ground wire, be prepared to wrap it in electrical tape or try to color it with magic marker.
