We ordered this storage bench to place next to our pool so we could have both extra seating and convenient storage for pool accessories. It certainly provides good storage space and serves that purpose well, but the overall quality is not on par with other deck boxes we've owned. Assembly was the biggest frustration. My husband grumbled through the entire process, and he's no stranger to putting together outdoor furniture. The pieces are designed to snap together, but several sections didn't align properly and required a lot of bending and stretching to get everything connected. The material is also noticeably thinner than the resin used on our other deck boxes. It feels less sturdy overall, and the construction seems more budget-oriented. Unlike higher-quality storage benches, this one doesn't include metal-assisted hinges or lift supports for the lid. Unfortunately, even after proper assembly, the lid scrapes against the right arm of the bench every time it's opened. We verified everything was installed correctly, so it appears to be a fit-and-finish issue rather than an assembly mistake. That said, it does provide a decent amount of storage and gives us a convenient place to sit by the pool. If your primary goal is affordable storage with the bonus of occasional seating, it may work fine.
