Sleek and a eye catcher. Has great ventilation pull and has several levels of suction. My only complaints are...the fan is a bit loud and my front panel only lights up once you press on the light or vent fan icons. It's extremely hard to see the number on and light icon on the solid black touch panel. It should have a back light. Could be the installer missed connecting a wire for the back light. I really love my new range hood! It arrived in perfect condition and is shiny and sleek. The lights are clear and bright and the fan is pretty quiet on all speeds. I had a handyman install it and only heard a few low mutterings to himself while installing it, but basically an uneventful installation that was vented through an existing roof vent. This hood is hardwired and was my preference because my old hood was also hardwired and I didn't want the additional expense to have an outlet installed. Broan has been around for a very long time and if I should ever need service or parts, it would not be problematic to obtain. I’m still in remodel mode, so please pardon my mess and aluminum foil backsplash! I purchased this range hood about a year or so ago and it is beautiful. It’s sleek, modern and the surface light works well. I’m giving this product a five star because I did not accurately read the description before ordering so that is my fault. As you can see, I have a professional chef range and I do a lot of cooking. Unfortunately, the rate of the fan is not strong enough for a chef‘s oven so please be aware before purchasing. The speed of this oven hood is 400 CFM and when using a larger range, it is recommended to use a range hood that has speeds up to 1200 CFM to circulate any smoke from cooking or Searing. I did not know this before purchasing. On maximum speed, the range hood does not sufficiently redirect smoke cooking at high temperatures. Wonderful! We really like this range hood. It looks great and was easy to put up too. I was a bit concerned that the light was at the back of the hood, but it works just fine there.
