Fantastic little incubator if youre not doing huge hatch numbers or have large eggs to hatch. I used it for jumbo and button quail and it worked great. I could stuff quite a few eggs in there, it held humidity and temperature great. Very quiet as well. There are only a few things Id change. First is the cardboard ring to sit your eggs on. They roll all over the place with this. If I were to use it again Id make each egg a little ring or cup of some sort to set in. Second, Id recommend placing the incubator in a tub of some sort when its close to lockdown. Without walls to contain the chicks its like popping popcorn without a lid. First incubator I received, the digital display did not work but Wayfair was very fast in sending out a new one (I returned the original so keep your box just in case!) The second one turned right on and I currently have my first set of eggs in there now with 15 days left to go. It's very simple to program and it's auto set to chickens which is why I purchased mine so I really didn't need to change anything. I add water to the reservoir that is located outside so you don't have to lift the incubator lid. If you do, here is a hint I did to keep the temp up...place the incubator lid on a towel, it will help hold the heat. One time use. Won't even make it through one batch of chicks. I love the design of this, but it's made out of pressed wood that cracks with any moisture. It's not sealed and so the urine soaks through the wood chips we put in and into the wood. And we use a lot of chips and clean the brooder frequently. The chickens make a mess with the water and so now the bottom and sides of the brooder must be held together with tape.
