I guess you get what you pay for. And Wayfair was careful not to say this rug was something it wasn't. But it wasn't good enough for me. Much too coarsely woven, and a hooked or maybe "hand tufted" rug. I was looking for a hand-knotted rug, which this rug definitely was not. This is a Safavieh rug sold by many e-tailers. And Wayfair price was the best. Still I returned it because it just wasn't what I was expecting. Patterned rugs are difficult to buy online, and I suspect those that cost over $1000 get returned fairly frequently. Wayfairs return process was super easy and quick. Takes about 25-48 hours to lay flat which is normal for any braided rug (not my first rodeo). I bought the 8x11 so HEAVY!
